Are you enjoying fall weather outdoors lately? It’s personally one of my favorite seasons to gather with my people! It’s still pretty warm here in the Bay Area, but I recently had the opportunity to work with Terrain to create a little cozy moment here in our patio. It’s so easy to overlook our outdoor spaces, but I love how adding in some plants and beautiful planters make all the difference.

I chose some planters that are definitely investment pieces, and will be enjoyed for years to come. We have mums in these cute orb planters now, but can totally change them with the change of seasons.
I love that right when you step outside our back door, you’re greeted with plants! This space used to feel a little boring and these changes brought so much life out here. It calls my name every times I pass by the back door, like, “come outside Alma!” Haha. It sounds silly, but it’s been doing that! It’s also been 90+ degrees outside, so not so much midday.
This oversized galvanized lantern gives off the prettiest glow in the evenings and really adds to the ambiance and just that cozy atmosphere we all crave during fall! I also added this pretty urn planter and cement planter that currently has a rubber plant and snake plant, but I love switching up the plants out here when I feel in the mood for change.
When creating a cozy patio, a simple addition of greenery and flowers will make all the difference! Below are the planters and lantern we added in here. The faux pumpkin was purchased years ago, but I really love these faux pumpkins. The galvanized jack o’lantern was from Michaels last year. I don’t think it’s available this year, but they still carry this jack o’lantern which is also really cute!
Happy fall styling! Hope you get to find some time this week to enjoy a little time outside!
