A tour of our holiday stay at Carneros Resort in Wine Country, styled by Serena and Lily

home sweet home

We made it to 2020! Happy New Year friends! Whew, the holidays was a busy one for me and Jason, as I’m sure was probably the case for many of you. So when I heard from Carneros Resort and Serena and Lily offering for our family to experience the Carneros Resort’s dedicated Holiday Residence, showcasing Serena & Lily’s signature casual-meets-sophisticated style through the lens of a cozy, Wine Country escape, we jumped at the chance to slow down, and spend a night together there.

It’s amazing what one night of getting away to breathe some fresh air, just being with the people you love, and putting the busyness on pause can do for the soul.

I captured some moments of the expansive 2-bedroom Residence we stayed at styled for the holidays by the Serena and Lily team, with a selection of indoor and outdoor pillows, throws, furniture and decor and wanted to share the breath taking Residence with you!

The Residence is ideal for friends and families of up to six people. The private two-bedroom Residence also includes a full kitchen, living room, expansive patio deck, in-ground hot tub and indoor/outdoor fireplace.

You’re greeted with this pretty porch, the cutest mailbox and boxwood wreath. Such a warm welcome.

Right when you swing the door open, this is the first look inside.

The living room is cozy and has 1 of the 2 gas fireplaces at the Residence.

This space is filled with all Serena and Lily pieces. You can shop this space as well as the rest of the Residence at the bottom of this post.

The dining room is right off the living room and I loved those Serena and Lily dining chairs so much that I went and bought some for our home as soon as we left.

The full functioning galley kitchen sits conveniently right next to the dining room.

There was so much to love about this Residence, but one of my favorite features was the indoor outdoor living experience. After our stay, even Jason is loving the idea of having an indoor outdoor living space in our home. One can dream, right?!

The second gas fireplace sits out here on the patio. We had fireside treats out here, just relaxed with the fire going, and the space heaters keeping it nice and toasty.

This little cute cabana sits outside the master bedroom and was another moment I told Jason I would love to add somewhere in our home. Of course it would make more sense if we had a pool to go with it, so I asked for that too. Haha. Lots of dreaming happened here!

I love the classic design of this bathroom. It just felt so fresh and airy in here!

Here is the second bedroom with it’s own attached bathroom and sun room. There is direct access to this room from the front of the residence through a door in the sunroom which is so convenient!

Speaking of convenience, the paneled wall has a built in murphy bed that was so easy to pull down for the kids and put back up in the morning.

The whole Residence was so bright and airy, comfortable and inviting. I felt right at home and loved all the Serena and Lily pieces that really added to the indoor outdoor living experience here at the Residence. The whole stay was a dream and would love to visit again soon! If you’re looking to book a stay at Carneros, you can learn more about availabilities, packages and special offers here.

I also made a video tour of the Carneros Residence.

The Carneros Resort is located at the heart of Wine Country so there are many amazing wineries to visit nearby, just an easy drive or bike away.

We got to experience Executive Chef Aaron Meneghelli and wine pairings by Wine Director Zion Curiel along with FARM’s culinary team hand delivering a spectacular, elevated in-room spread featuring all the yummy flavors of Napa Valley with a holiday twist. We also got some fireside treats which was fun for the kids. Even Ava Bear got some treats of her own!

Before the tour ends, I thought I’d also show you where we went to check in/ check out. What a beautiful welcome into their resort! Right when you step inside, you’re greeted with a beautiful Christmas scene and wow was it so inviting! In true Napa hospitality, we were offered a glass of wine and fruit infused water.

Below is the Pavilion, just around the corner from checking in. A beautiful place to hang out, have a drink, desserts, seasonal bites, and just enjoy a night under the stars.

Some fun facts

  • There is a family pool and separate adults-only pool
  • Ordering the Boon Fly Donuts at Boon Fly Café (made in-house they melt in your mouth!) is highly recommended!
  • There are complimentary Carneros bicycles located at guest check-in and you are welcome to use them at your leisure to bike around the 28-acre property
  • The resort introduced new festive neighborhoods (perfect for a nighttime holiday-inspired stroll)

The Carneros Resort was a great place for rest and relaxation and we loved every minute of our stay! Looking forward to going back! Maybe just mommy and daddy next time though! Hope you enjoyed this post! If you’re looking to book a stay some where in Wine Country, I would definitely check Carneros Resort out!

No modern design is able to surpass the special place that vintage furniture holds. Even in a modern world, vintage furniture is always fashionable and has a significant demand.
