I’m not one who usually decorates for Valetines Day. But, this year thought I’d have a little fun with it and share a quick banner I made to make it a little Valentinesey (I know this is not a word but sometimes I talk jibber jabber) in here. The two frames are actually not chalkboard. I pretty much was a little lazy, and slipped in some chalkboard scrapbook paper that I used during Thanksgiving and Christmas and changed the writing on it. Hope you like it as much as I did. I especially love the fact that it took me less than 20 minutes to do. A mommy’s dream project time. LOL!
Here’s our little wall where it’s hung in our family room. I think that’s what you call this space. I don’t have a separate living and family room. So yeah, it’s a very busy family room for our family of 5.
Having a small home with a family of 5 definitely has its challenges with keeping the house clean since pretty much every inch of the house is walked through and used daily. But decorating helps make the mundane every day chores more fun to do. Why? I guess things are more desirable to clean when it’s a happy and pretty place, don’t you think?!
This is what sits next to the couch. Not much going on over here. This table literally changes daily but I just got this big antique wooden crate the other day and it’s been trying to find a home. Idk about you, but that pop of pink in that Cottage Style magazine adds a Valentines Day feel.. Is it a stretch?? Maybe, but hey, we can’t forget that Valentines Day isn’t usually on my “holiday decorating” list. So we’ll give me a break this once.
Oh, and if you haven’t already noticed, I love to use chalk boards. And I especially love using it as a themed decorating tool. So fast and easy. And still cute. This little guy sits on this table all year long with different bible verses or words of encouragement.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed this post and my randomness at times. Happy early Valentines Day! And don’t forget to let the ones you love know just how much you love them!
