I can’t believe it’s here, another year rounding up my favorite things, and it’s the last one of this decade! There were so many amazing products I’ve tried out, been introduced to and couldn’t get enough of, and a few things I can’t imagine living without! From beauty and fashion, to household and home decor items, I’m sharing the items that made a difference in 2019 and can’t help but share with you today! Here’s my top 10 items of 2019!
Number 1: Capiz Honeycomb Chandelier
Coming in first, obviously has to be a home decor related item and it has to be this capiz honeycomb chandelier from Serena and Lily. This chandelier makes a statement, but also defines this dining room that once was a combo family room/breakfast nook space. Lighting really is so important when adding it to a space, and I would highly recommend this one that has a nice soft glow at night.
Number 2: Pescadero Tiered Chandelier
In close second would have to be this Pescadero tiered chandelier which also happens to be from Serena and Lily. I absolutely love this chandelier made with coconut shells and adds a coastal feel to our bedroom. I love both of these chandeliers and would highly recommend checking out Serena and Lily’s beautiful lighting selection!
Check out some of my other favorite Serena and Lily lights. A few I already have in our home and others I would love to add!
Number 3: Samsung Frame TV
The next item is an electronics item must have and I owned one since 2017 and since then have purchased 2 more. Third up is the Samsung Frame tv. We first bought it in our last house because we really wanted a tv that we could see from the kitchen and a frame tv seemed like the best option. And so glad we did, because it’s my favorite!
Yep that’s a frame tv above that little cabinet and actually sits in a little walkway. This same tv recently moved to our little casita in our current home.
Here are the other 2 frame tv’s we own. They really are a lot easier on the eyes and I share more of my thoughts on the tv here.
Number 4: Dyson V8 Animal Vacuum
Coming in number 4 has to be the Dyson V8 animal vacuum. We’ve owned this vacuum for 2 years and don’t plan on going back to those heavy vacuums we once owned. This one is a space saver, gets the job done, lasts long on one charge and so easy to work with. The kids have no idea what it’s like working around a cord you have to plug into the wall, lugging a heavy vacuum around, and I don’t think I care for them to experience that either. Haha!
Number 5: The Keurig K-Duo Plus
Wow, I cannot say enough good things about this coffee maker. We’ve owned a few keurigs now, and the Keurig K-Duo Plus far exceeds all other previous Keurigs we’ve owned. It does so much, takes up less space and functions a lot smoother and better. The obvious biggest change that we love so much is the carafe option. On weekends we for sure use the carafe but we also use it pretty often on weekdays too. Other than that, I love the sleek design and easy to use functions.
Number 6: The Instant Pot
Oh my goodness, this pot has blown my mind these last few months and so for that, it deserved a seat at the table! It’s a busy moms best friend!
Number 7: The Rockstar Jean
I love love jeans, especially when they fit perfectly, last forever and look good after wearing multiple times without washing, but at the same time still looks and feels just as good after many washes in! When you have multiple versions of the same line of jeans and even have a duplicate of one of the pairs, that’s definitely a jean worth sharing! These are from Old Navy and they have slightly differently looks but the fit is tried and true and the price is great for jeans I wear non stop.
Number 8: Most comfiest and perfect fitted undies ever
Okay, this is a personal one, but it’s what I’ve been wearing since literally I graduated from high school, ha! Okay that’s kinda weird but I guess I can really say it has stood the test of time. These are the boybrief Aerie undies and more specifically the ones that are all cotton. Worked for a younger, fitter me, and well.. an older, not as fit, and wiser me ๐ That’s gotta mean something right? Well it really is comfy and keeps its shape! Honestly, I don’t know what I would do if they stopped selling these undies!
Number 9: Best Mascara for short eyelashes
My favorite drugstore mascara that my sister in law recommended to me is the Maybelline Volum’ Express The Falsies Push Up Drama Angel Mascara More specifically this mascara is awesome for eyelashes that are stick straight and short and needs to keep a curl in place. I honestly will go a whole day, and my short eyelashes will still have a curl which has never happened before! I can’t say they make my eyelashes extra long, but they are buildable and don’t easily clump up like others do.
Number 10: La Roche Posay Face wash and face lotion
We have been using these face washes and face lotion this year and we have all been hooked. With sensitive skin, we are really careful about what face wash and face lotion to use and these are all great. Smell is very light, almost nothing, and they feel great on the skin. It’s so exciting to find products that are awesome and yet still affordable and very reasonably priced.
Bonus Item: Sophie sweater blazer
I don’t usually like to share items I haven’t own for very long in my “favorites” but I’ve been wearing these 2 sweater blazers non stop, I felt like a bad friend keeping a secret to not share it. So here I am, being a good friend ๐ This blazer is a blend of cotton, polyester and wool, and it has the comfiest yet nicest fit, so versatile and can be worn dressed up or down.
That sums up my favorites for this year! What’s one favorite item for you, looking back at the year that made a difference? Please share in the comments, I’d love to know!
Wishing you all had a merry Christmas and have the best time ringing in the New Year!! See you all back here in the new year ๐
