Hello, and welcome to my first favorite things round up of 2018! My sweet friend Sarah of Thrfty Decor Chick invited me to join in, along with a group of amazing blogger friends with great taste, to share our favorite finds of this year.
I’m sharing a mix of things I have been loving this year and I know these are items you will love for yourselves and to gift to your dearest friends and family! Enjoy!
Affiliate links are included in this post, at no cost to you and as always, all opinions are my own.
So let’s get started with my favorite home items I’ve loved this year! And just to make it easier, click on a picture to shop it!
Home decor love
This rug was probably one of the most requested and asked about items this year in our home. It’s also currently the only rug I own that has color on it and after owning it for over a year, I am still loving it and would highly recommend! And to make your day even better, this is currently 50% off with free shipping with code PRBK50
Before I bought this shelf, it went out of stock the 3 previous times I tried purchasing it. I was so happy to see it back in stock last week and perfect timing too because it’s currently 40% off with code “FURNDEAL“
This cabinet has been on my wishlist and is the perfect accent cabinet that would look fabulous as a bedside table, a side table and even an entry table.
I had to add my favorite Christmas item which is this oversized tassel garland. And it’s currently on sale! It would be so perfect to drape across the fireplace mantel.
You might be familiar with the current ottoman in a different fabric we have in our loft. Well I currently just ordered 2 of these ottomans in this farmhouse striped fabric and I just love the detail on top with the stripes going in a different direction. It just adds so a modern twist to it. I also love these ottomans because they keep their shape, the perfect height for scooting up to the sofa to kick your feet up and the fabric is basically indestructible in my experiences with them!
beauty loves
So listen, I know “holy grail” may not be a relevant phrase anymore, but seriously, this face wash is my absolute favorite and works awesome to remove makeup, doesn’t dry out the skin and never irritated my sensitive skin! The gift set on the right is currently on sale for $20 and is an awesome set to give this guy a test drive! It was actually the first set I bought and I’ve been hooked since!
Okay, you guys, remember I have sensitive skin, and on top of that I have normal to dry skin, and this moisturizer is ahhhmazing and I specifically lather it on every. single. night! It’s so great! And the best part is it will last a lifetime. Okay, maybe not a lifetime but pretty dang close, haha.
Here’s a great stocking stuffer! You guys, I’m definitely sharing my must haves, so much so, I own like at least 8 of these lip balms in the flavor mint. No joke! That’s not even counting the vanilla flavored ones we also have all around the house! I not only have sensitive skin, but even my lips can get irritated with a lot of lip balms but this one works great and priced right!
This eyebrow pencil is definitely my favorite drugstore pencil and I would definitely go as far as to say it’s as good as the high end version on the right.
This brow definer is still a love and I have to admit that I own both but I they truly are very similar but I just can’t quit this guy! These would be awesome stocking stuffers too!
This amazing texture spray is amazing for short to medium length hair to give the hair some texture and make your curls look less uniform and more natural and stylish!
Ok last thing on beauty, but definitely not least is this amazing hair removal tool. It’s too convenient when those upper lip fuzzies (the kids love to call it my mustaches, but mama refuses to call it that) need to be removed quickly and it’s super easy to use! If you know how to bend and roll, you got this!
random loves
This steamer is my go to for all things wrinkled! For photoshoots, a quick swipe over sheets and curtains and it works like a dream. Running late on Sunday’s to church, no fear, the steamer is here. LOL! This comes in handy and I know you guys will love it!
Okay, okay, I know this book doesn’t have the prettiest cover and might look old school, but I’m telling you, this is one of those “don’t judge a book by it’s cover” moments! This book has been the encouragement my heart needed recently to keep pressing on in this life of living for the Lord and I’m only on chapter 4! It’s so easy to go on cruise control in this walk with God but this book is like a finger snapping “wake up”. In this book, the author breaks down the spiritual disciplines found in the bible keeping in mind the purpose is Godliness (1 Timothy 4:7).
While we’re on books, here is there other book I’ve been picking up since it dropped like 2 weeks ago. It’s pretty but it’s also pretty informative and an easy leisure read. AND it’s the perfect size and look for coffee table styling.
Lastly, these 2 items (the donut flavored One bar and the espresso capsules) are probably the 2 most repeatedly bought items in my online cart this year! It’s bad but it’s because it’s so yummy! I’m generally not a fan of protein bars but man, this One.. Ahhmazing! The Bestpresso is compatible with the Nespresso machine and we love every flavor!
That sums up today’s post on my favorites of 2018! I had a few more I wanted to share but didn’t want to overload you guys! I purposely left out fashion because we can go all out with that topic! Anyway, I hope you guys were introduced to some new things and maybe even love a few things already yourself! Now it’s time to check out these ladies who shared yesterday, today and will be sharing tomorrow:
